What We Believe – our Statement of Faith
We Believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and essence; that this triune God is knowable, personal, and has revealed Himself in the Bible and through Jesus Christ.
We Believe God concerns Himself with our affairs and that He Loves each
person supremely by giving His Son Jesus Christ to all.
Therefore, we embrace Jesus, full of Grace and Truth.
We Believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired, without error, and is the
unchanged will of God for faith, doctrine, morals, ethics, and living.
We believe God wants us to be Intelligent about His Son Jesus.
Therefore, we study His Word and all
its wisdom from Genesis to Revelation.
We Believe in Jesus Christ and being forever Faithful to Him. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teaching. We believe He is not just the Son of God but also God the Son. We believe He died on the cross for our sins; that He physically rose again the 3rd day, was seen alive by credible witnesses and infallible proofs thus validating His divine claims and teaching.
Therefore, we stay true to Him and His teaching to the very end.
We Believe in the Holy Spirit, who convinces people of sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment. He regenerates us (Born Again), He changes our moral character (sanctifies), and Empowers us to walk close to the Lord, to serve Him, and to Make Disciples of all nations. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, often subsequent to regeneration (salvation).
Therefore, we embrace the Holy Spirit, His Power and Gifts!
We Believe in the Laying on of Hands for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, for ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons and for receiving gifts of the Spirit and healing.
We Believe that all People are sinners by nature, by practice, and by choice and therefore are separated from God and under condemnation. We Believe that those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ will no longer be condemned but will be saved and indwelt by Jesus Himself to live His L.I.F.E. in and through them now.
We Believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe every true believers active involvement in a local church is vital for spiritual growth. We believe in the presence of Jesus in the local church by which He teaches, communicates, hears prayers, edifies, disciples, heals, and receives worship when His people gather together in His Name.
We Believe in Water baptism and partaking of the Lord's Supper - communion.
We Believe in the personal, visible Return of Christ to the earth and the establishment of His Kingdom from the city of Jerusalem, Israel. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the unrighteous. We believe in the Rapture of the church where true believers will be snatched up to Heaven prior to the Tribulation Period at a time that only the Lord knows. We believe in being Prepared for His soon return. Therefore, we watch and pray.
We Believe in what is termed the "The Apostles Creed" as embodying the
fundamental facts of the Christian faith.
