What is happening in our world today? The threat of terrorism! War with Iraq? AIDS? The Rise of Europe! The Peace movement! Is Jesus Christ really coming back soon?

These and other questions are found within the pages of the Bible. Amazingly, the Bible is more than just an ancient book describing the history of the ancient Jewish nation or the story of Jesus. It is actually the very Word of God to mankind. 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16. That’s a radical claim! Yet, as you will see very clearly that claim is substantiated by what we call ‘Bible Prophecy.’ John 14:29

What is Bible Prophecy?

Bible prophecy consists of the portions within the Bible that speak of future events that will take place with 100% accuracy. They speak of history in advance. These events are political, economic, sociological, medical, wars, and more. They all have a common theme relating to the great event of the return of Jesus Christ to planet Earth, Matthew 24:3. The nation of Israel is the central focus of Bible Prophecy because that is where Jesus Christ will return to reign and rule over planet Earth. Zechariah 14:4

The Bible contains 1817 individual prophecies concerning 737 separate subjects found in 8352 verses. These predictions make up 27% of the 31,124 verses found in the Bible.

The Purpose of Bible Prophecy!

God's purpose in telling us in advance what is going to happen is so that we will become believers in the identity of Jesus as the Messiah, God in human form: John 13:19; John 14:29

Bible Prophecies Fulfilled In Our Lifetime!

• The Rebirth of Israel: Ezekial 36:24; Ezekial 37:21; Isaiah 11:11-12; Isaiah 66:8 Israel was declared a nation on May 14, 1948.
  
• Israel’s deserts will become fertile again: Ezekial 36:30, 35-36. Today Israel has 5 million trees, they plant 200,000 trees a year. They invented the irrigation drip systems. The UN said Israel is the most agriculturally efficient land on the earth.
  
• Israel will increase in rainfall: Joel 2: 23 …rainfall began to increase in Israel in 1950. It has increased 10% each decade since, that’s a 60 % increase.
  
• Israel will fill the whole earth with fruit: Isaiah 27:6 Israel provides Europe with 90% of its citrus fruits.
  
• Worldwide telecommunications: Revelation 11:9-11 states that the whole world will have the technology to view the two dead bodies of the Israeli prophets for 3 ½ days and then see them miraculously rise to life.

What Next?

The Rise of Europe:

Daniel 2:39-44 In this prophecy Daniel describes a series of five empires that will arise into worldwide prominence. The description starts with ancient Babylon and what is described in terms of a metallic statue of a man. The head of gold was Babylon; the chest of silver was the next empire to arise – Persia; followed by the stomach of bronze, which was Greece led by Alexander the Great; next the Roman empire, represented by the legs of iron. The fifth empire was represented by the feet and ten toes made up of an unstable mixture of iron and clay. Since Rome there has never been a succeeding empire that had worldwide prominence. The British Empire came close, and Napoleon and Hitler made the attempt but, to no avail. Therefore, we are still waiting for this to happen. This last empire will be a revival of the old Roman Empire. We know this because of the similar metals in Daniel's vision – both were of iron. The difference would be the mixture of clay, which would make it very weak and unstable. This description would then perfectly fit modern day Europe. During the week of March 10, 2003 they established the World Criminal Court. They now have a single monetary currency the Euro Dollar. Europe will continue to rise to greater and greater prominence in world politics and world economy and in their military might!

It is during the Empire of Europe that Jesus will return! We are very close!

The Rise of Antichrist!

Revelation 13:1-3; This man will be a political leader from Europe who will capitalize on this great peace movement. The world will hail him as their messiah, he will even be thought of as Jesus Christ because of his amazing speeches and phenomenal deeds, 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12. He will make a peace treaty with Israel for seven years. It is in the middle of this seven years that he will stand in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and proclaim himself to be God and command all people to worship him. Daniel 9:27 Jesus Christ Himself will destroy the Antichrist when He returns to earth. 2 Thessalonians 2:8

The Peace Movement!

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3; Revelation 6:2 We’ve seen the collapse of the Berlin Wall; the peace process, and now the tremendous rise of the peace marches and peace activists all over the world. It is gaining momentum! And it is another sign that this world is ripe to accept the Antichrist. According to Revelation 6:2, this leader from Europe will ride on a ‘white horse,’ symbolic of peace. And it will be on this great peace movement that he will rise to power.

The War With Iraq!

Iraq is the modern name for the ancient boundaries of Babylon. So when we read in the Bible about Babylon it refers to modern day Iraq. Iraq will be destroyed by a coalition of invading armies according to Isaiah 13:1-5.

Damascus will be destroyed!

Isaiah 17:1 We do know that the state of Israel has nuclear weapons and they will use them if any country or terrorist group dares to use a biological, chemical or nuclear weapon on Israeli soil. Presently, the Hamas, Hizbollah, and other terrorist groups are backed by Syria whose capital is Damascus. It is quite likely Israel will detonate a nuclear bomb on Damascus if Syria allows the terrorists to attack Israel with a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

An Islamic Invasion of Israel!

Ezekial 38-39 Here we are told that in the End Times there will be a coalition of Islamic nations backed by the Russian Federation that will invade Israel to destroy it. God will then perform a miracle and five sixths of the invading forces will be destroyed. When God does this, the whole world will know it was by divine intervention that Israel was protected.

The Decline of the United States:

Although we don’t find a specific scripture about the future of the United States, we can reasonably presume upon its decline from world prominence because of its absence in Bible prophesy. It would seem our country would for sure be mentioned because of our great stature in World politics, economy and military superiority at the present time. However, we are not mentioned specifically. It is quite probable we will be either reduced to a non-player in world politics or absorbed into Europe’s global agenda by a future administrations' policy to pursue a one-world governance agenda. We could be destroyed by a nuclear attack from North Korea or a terrorist, or our economy’s collapse will just simply remove us from the world scene. OR the other possibility is the Rapture of the Church.

The Rapture!

1Thessalonians 4:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 The Rapture means that God will instantaneously remove all true born-again believers in Jesus Christ from the earth and bring them to heaven. It will be the greatest event in the history of mankind besides Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. If the Rapture doesn’t happen in our lifetime, we shouldn’t be disappointed, because our hope is not in the coming of the Lord; our hope is in the Lord who’s coming. Jesus said, "no one knows the day or the hour." We need to be ready all the time! Luke 12:40

Jesus said, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." Luke 21:28

How To Get Ready For The Rapture!

Stay Morally pure: 2 Peter 3:14; John 3:3 (Coming Back to God)

Make Heaven your priority and get involved in sharing your faith: Matthew 16:26; Matthew 6:21

Start a Personal Meaningful Relationship with God: Revelation 3:20; 2 Corinthians 6:2 (How To Know God)
